I made my way to the dock near the Congress Park  section of the resort. All Aboard: Setting Sail on the Sassagoula Once on board, we glided away from the dock. The cruise is a roughly 15-minute ride along the Sassagoula River , a manmade waterway designed to mimic the peaceful bayous of Louisiana (This river cruise can also take to from Disney Springs to Old Key West, and Port Orleans Resorts). As we drifted along, we passed Saratoga Springs’ pastel-colored buildings, charming bridges, and lush greenery. At golden hour, with the Florida sun dipping low in the sky, the water shimmered. The breeze, the gentle rocking of the boat, and the soft sounds of water made it feel like the most peaceful ride in all of Walt Disney World. Your Favorite Characters, One Last Time Suddenly, the music kicks in and the stars of the show begin to appear—Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, Chip and Dale, and even a few Disney Princesses like Cinderella, Tiana and Belle. They’re all dressed in their nautical best, full of energy, ready for hugs, waves, and farewell photos. Donald Duck in his red-striped sailor outfit was a definite crowd favorite!
